The Role: Founding Software Engineer

You will work directly with the founders to build our core product from the ground up. You’ll have the autonomy to solve real, complex startup challenges, rapidly prototype new features, and lay the technical foundation that will define our future. What You'll Do:
- Build & Architect: Design, develop, and deploy the core StackedHR platform, from our backend APIs and AI models to our user-facing web application.
- Innovate & Prototype: Collaborate directly with founders to translate product vision into technical reality, building and testing new features at a rapid pace.
- Own the Stack: Take full ownership of major features, making critical decisions about our technology, architecture, and engineering practices.
- Shape the Culture: Be a cornerstone of our engineering culture, fostering an environment of high standards, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Must Haves
Essential requirements for this position
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of shipping products.
- Expertise in building scalable backend systems (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go) and modern front-end applications (e.g., React, Vue).
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end, from ideation and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
- A strong product sense and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, ready to work closely with founders.
Nice to Haves
Preferred qualifications and extras
- Previous experience in a founding or early-stage engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and NLP libraries.
- Experience building products in the HR Tech or recruitment industry.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
